Cursillo

What is Cursillo
Cursillo is a 2 day learning, sharing, inspirational experience of living in a Christian community. The
objective of the Cursillo ministry is to make Christian community possible in neighborhoods, parishes, work situations and other places where people live the greater part of their lives. Cursillo inspires, builds, and encourages Christians to become leaders for Christ.

Cursillo is patterned on Jesus own example of searching out small groups of potential leaders. He trained them by word and example and inspired them with a vision. He linked them together and sent them out into the world to bring the world to Him.

The Cursillo weekend is a starting point that lasts the rest of your life. A springboard to a long-range practice of the Baptismal covenant in the life of the church called the “Fourth Day”.

In the Diocese of Central Florida, our Cursillo weekends are held at “Canterbury Retreat and Conference Center in Oviedo”. Weekends are held 3 times per year, 2 in Spring and one in Fall.
