Taizé Service – March 21st at 5:00pm

On a hill far away, in southern France, there is an ecumenical monastic community called Taizé. It is a community of brothers that have opened their doors to the world as an act of hospitality. People – young and old – from all over the world flock to Taizé to be with the brothers – to pray, to listen, contemplate, and to be simple, and to be faithful. They come seeking the space – both external and internal – to meet God.

It is our hope to bring to you what the brothers in France offer through our Taizé nights – An evening of contemplative singing and praying, where we hope to listen to God in a meditative manner. As we gather, we will sing several beautiful songs with simple words. The words to the songs are sung many times in a meditative manner to allow the reality of the words (often from Scripture), our faith and our walk with the Lord to gradually sink in, and penetrate our whole being. For just a brief period on the Taizé night, we will push our hectic lives aside and touch eternity in God’s presence to listen to Him. Everyone is invited to take part in a time of prayer together and to remain together in attentive waiting on God.

We host a Taize night about one every three months or so. Keep checking back, or email us at ChurchOffice@HolyPresenceDeLand.Com to be put on notification email if you don’t want to miss it the next time we have our Taize night.
